DW 7.01 continually uses CPU even when idle

Yep. All i have to do is open DW and leave it sitting at the green-and-white
intro screen, and it'll sit there chowing between 5 and 30% of my CPU for hours
on end. And dismissing the screen doesn't help, nor does opening or closing
sites or documents. This behavior is completely reproducible on my alBook 17".
Not only does it slow down other applications, it eats the batteries.

Any ideas?

What is your antivirus? Is it doing realtime protection?

This is OS X, so I have no antivirus. DW itself is consuming the CPU.

I have found a solution. Upgrade to OS X 10.3.4. Since the upgrade, DW no
longer uses huge amounts of CPU when doing nothing. I don't know why. Perhaps
MM would be interested in understanding this issue?

Well I have upgraded to DW 7.0.1 and OS X 10.3.4 and DW still hogs the CPU occasionally and then become unresponsive. I have to quit it and then relaunch.
