Manage Sites - Extremely slow to open for edit

:confused; I don't understand why, but in the last couple of weeks, when I go
to "Manage Sites" and click on edit, it takes forever to open the site up. I
have a new machine too... only 4 months old, so I don't think it is that...
anyone experience this and fixed it.

This same thing has been happening to me for about 3 months, its a real PIA. I have no idea why it happens, and I just wish that Adobe would address it.

I just found a fix for this problem. If you have Skype installed, it is the
culprit. Go to Tools-->Advanced-->Connection and untick the box that says, use
port 80 and 443 intermittantly (may just say port 80 on some versions). That's
it! no more problem, stupid but it works.

"Tools-Advanced..." I'm having this same terrible slow DreamWeaver problem, and
I'd like to try your fix. Are you on a Mac or Windows machine. I'm on a Mac,
and can't see any menu or Tools in either DreamWeaver or Skype.

:grin; How Bizarre is that! It worked, like a charm... I find that amazing...
what gave you the idea to do that!

The settings were in a different place than you directed, so I poked around
and found it.

Where is it that you found the settings when you were poking around? Was it in
Skype or in DreamWeaver? I've been poking around also, and haven't found
anything that fits the checkbox described in either program.
