Default Missing FTP Files MacBook Pro - 12-30-2007 , 05:17 PM

I shut down my new Apple MacBook Pro with the Intel chip yesterday with CS3
Studio installed and now all of my Dreamweaver Site Files are missing Missing
MISSING and that is not good.

Any suggestions?

Where are the sites files filed on the Mac Computer?

I noticed a support issue that when IE7 is installed on a Windows computer
this could happen. No IE7 on my Mac.....

Sure appreciate any suggestions and help. I can recreate all these site files
but that is not going to be fun.

How many sites?

This is a recurring problem with DW since at least DW3, although its
occurence on this forum has diminished significantly since about DMX2004.
It may be that your simplest and fastest solution is to redefine the sites.

I always export all my site definitions periodically to guard against this,
although my last such experience was with DW4.

I think that issue is different - it's simply the loss of FTP login
information, not the loss of the entire site definition.

Murray,

Thanks, I was hoping that wasn't the case....but that is good advice. Luckily
I had just moved from my Windows Computer to the Mac and I had exported and
imported all the .ste site files and saved them. All but a few that I had just
set up so I am 90% covered. Thankfully. I will keep backups now and I have
setup a backup harddrive and got Time Machine running on the new Leopard so
hopefully that will help also.

Thanks Again for taking the time to reply.

Charlie
