Drop Down Menu Not Constant On Screen

Dreamweaver/Fireworks 4 - Newbie

Hello folks

Created several images using Fireworks, inserted drop down menus and exported
as html pages.
Extremely chuffed when viewing pages and everything appeared as it should.
However noticed that the drop down menus were not aligning properly when
viewing at different resolutions. They would appear either to the right or left
of the image depending on wheher resolution was increased/decreased.

Is there anyway to enable drop down menu to appear as a constant (i.e.
Postioned with the image as originally created )

Please advise.
