Default drop down menu - 07-08-2004 , 03:50 PM

Is there an easy way to create a simple vertical drop down menu in Dreamweaver MX? If so, how would I go about creating one?

Thank you in advance for the help!

Use a select form element. Use a post-it note. But for heavens sake, don't
use the DW/FW pop-up menus!

Well theres two easy ways to make a dropdown menu either through Fireworks or
http://www.opencube.com...
My personal favorit is Opencube it is by far the easiest program I have ever
seen to create dropdown menus.

But keep in mind these both use javascripts to display the menus and search
engines can't search javascript... at least not yet.
The best soltution to that problem is by creating a "sitemap" Just put a text
link to a page with links to all the other pages in clean HTML.

Opencube also has another edge on Fireworks...
Opencube can update your menu at any time on all pages, simply edit the
dropdown menu with there program and save the files and upload them to your
server... all the menus on all the pages will be updated.

If you are not comfortable working in javascript, however, neither of these
suggestions would be good for you.
