Dreeamweaver unable to preview web pages

Hi I have recently upgraded to OSX 10.5 and Dreamweaver 9 and I have lost my
virtual hosts, used to work in 10.4 I have tried MAMP and XAMPP but was unable
to get them working also tried enabling PHP on the mac but was getting an error
message when trying to preview pages. I need to be able to work on several
sites and preview pages and would preffer not to use MAMP or XAMPP if possible.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
