Default Dreamweaver WYSIWYG wont render what IE will - 11-23-2004 , 02:02 PM

I have to capture html pages and use snippets in new pages, but the Dreamweaver
WYSIWYG fails to render many of the pages due to invalid tags etc. In
Dreamweaver they end up looking like one big blank table with a few cells.. but
if you preview the page in IE it is rendered correctly (i assume because IE
isnt being so strict.) Is there any way to get the Dreamweaver WYSIWYG to
render these pages dispite the invalid markup like IE does? There are tons of
things that are invalid, so trying to clean them up to find what is messing up
the rendering will be a nightmare. Thanks in advance for any help!

Why are you using invalid tags?

That's likely the reason. Though ANY two HTML rendering agents will have
differences in how they render the page.

No. But, why not just do your screen caps from IE?
