Dreamweaver versions

:confused;
Hi everybody. if anybody can give me a hand i will appreciate it. i have
windows XP and dreamweaver version1.
some times it saves files some time not and windows throw me out with a fatal
error message.
so i do alot of changing on my web site and save it regulary and when i check
in the browser it just throw me out with a fatal error

i supose those 2 product are not compatible. macromedia doesn't upgrade old
versions but i can not afford to buy new one
any suggestions.
may be it is a way to work around it in my old version.,i kind of like this
product
