Dreamweaver SFTP Problem

I have Dreamweaver MX and love it to death and I'm not ready at this time to
upgrade to DW8.

I am having problems logging onto my hosting server with the FTP mechanism. I
try to login and it always times out and says "FTP error - cannot connect to
server". I tried a few other FTP programs (CuteFTP and SmartFTP) and things
still didn't work.

Then, I downloaded Dreamweaver 8 on a trial basis to see if something might
work there. Well, I checked the "SFTP" button in the site definitions and
suddenly, I could connect to the server.

Is there something I could do in DW MX to get this same effect so I can
connect to the server?

Dreamweaver MX 6.1 uses FTP over SSH, check the Remote Info Category
in the Site Definition. It uses Putty to encrypt the control channel.
This is not SFTP.
