What is your antivirus and is it doing realtime protection? Quite a few
other posters here with the same symptom (although with nicer posts) have
found that simply removing the Macromedia folder hierarchy from their
realtime scan has solved this problem with Norton AV.

Hi,
I'm really getting annoyed with dw, it seems to hog a load of memory when

I have plenty of (1gb). It will quite happily eat up to 198mb and then grind
to a halt, I don't have any other apps running apart from apache & mysql.
The only way to bring things to normality is to close all the files I have
open in dw & then shutdown / relaunch dw.
