Dreamweaver MX 2004 Update Error

I recently downloaded Dreamweaver MX 2004 and allowed the installation to save
to the default directory in C:\ProgramFiles\Macromedia\DreamweaverMX2004. I
noticed there was an update avalible. I downloaded this update and when I went
to install it, a window popped up titled. "Severe", the message was that "This
folder does not contain Dreamweaver MX 2004, when it clearly does. I have tried
moving Dreamweaver to a differnt directory , and then re-directing the
installation there but still no success. Any information you may have on this
problem would be appreciated. Thanks again for your time. I can not wait to
hear some responses, this has been troubling me for qutie some time.

I have the same problem, Is there a fix for this?

Yes. The fix is to have everyone actually read the thread where it's
answered about 50 eleven times.

The most common reason for the 7.0.1 update to fail is that you already
have version 7.0.1. Check the splash screen when you start DW, or click
Help->About, then click on the About window to see the version.
