Dreamweaver MX 2004 does not open in 10.3.7

The Dreamweaver icon just bounces up and down a couple of times, but nothing
else happens!

No splash page opens up, and no messages pop up to explain why it wont open.
Have tried deleting programme and reloading it, but still doesn't work.

Any ideas??!!

I can't help you with that, sorry, but you may be asked the following
questions so it helps to have the answers ready.

Deleting the programme or uninstalling it?
What version of 2004 is it?
Anti virus - firewalls?

i'm getting like murray. .. i just copy paste in the same answers any more:
when people say they have trouble with the mac or pc running dreamweaver, often
the person needed the latest download of the software from MM / the hotfix
update. once they had that they had no trouble. i agree with your assesment
that it really does sound like you've accidentally changed the administrative
password needed to make any alterations to the HD. go into system preferences,
user accounts, and check to make sure you're profile is a Admin. also
reestablish your password for the admin. also, you didn't mention whether you
have File Vault running on your mac (you know, the program that automatically
encryps and decrypes everything on your HD on the fly for pretection)... found
in System Preferances, i would say turn this off. Also, if you are a .Mac
customer and you downloaded Virex, turn that off as well. Whether on PC or MAC,
Dreamweaver does not play well with anti-virus programs that run in the
background. It's probably the #1 cause of funky stuff happening. Frankly, you
don't need anti-virus software for a mac anyway, so i'd recommend just removing
it all together, but if nothing else, change your preferences that it doesn't
run in the background and on a side note, i tell anyone with OSX to be sure
use disk utility to repair permissions because you'd be suprised the difference
it makes sometimes (HD>applications>utilties>disk utility). it may not help
this situation at all, but it's good to know because a lot of people are
unaware of the program and what it does. basically, you should run disk utility
after every major update or application to the HD for optimal performance. it
only takes about 30 seconds to do, and if you 've never done it, i'd bet even
money you find a dozen or more things that need to be changed. it does it all
for you automatically so it's very easy. let us know how it's coming by the
way, i have a mac and i have had no trouble what at all so it's not a mac thing
going on with this, but i find it strange the same exact question was asked 3
times in the past 2 weeks.

The 'HotFix' seems to have fixed the problem.

DW puts a couple of system files in wrong place, AFAIK.
The fix puts them right.
