Default Dreamweaver memory errors - 10-01-2006 , 09:04 PM

Running XP Pro and DW8.02 Recently I installed DW on a new computer and have
been getting consistent memory errors and crashes. Wanted to see if it was a DW
problem or if I should look at my OS.
Thanks,

What are the full specs of the new computer?

Exactly what kind of errors are you getting?
Does DW launch at all or do the errors occur while using DW?

Here are the specs: WindowsXP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 2
Dell XPS
Intel(R)
Pentium(R) D CPU 2.80GHz
2.79 GHz 2.00 GB of RAM

The errors I have been getting are that: "dreamweaver memory is low, save your
documents or close some programs" During that message all of the images and
text change to boxes with "X" across and no color.
Never had a problem on my old computer, but I had to install and reinstall a
few times on this brand new one.
Thanks for your help.

I don't know if there's a better solution, but I would check Adobe's
technote and would also pull out half the RAM & see is things clear
up. Not that this is a solution you want to use, but I think it may
cure the problem.
