dreamweaver locks up when uploading site

Hi

I am using FTP to upload my work to the web. Until recently this worked
fine.

Now everytime I try to upload dreamweaver freezes up on me and I have to
exit via task manager

anything I can do to fix this? I basically can't work at the moment because
of this problem.

I am running Dreamweaver MX on Windows 2000 Pro

PS its not a connection problem because when setting up the site and testing
the connection, dreamweaver connects successfully
