Dreamweaver FTP Problem

I use the Dreamweaver MX FTP mechanism to upload my pages to my website.
However, I am now having a problem logging in to the server I'm uploading the
pages to.

When I click the connect button, I get the window that says "finding host,
connecting". Then it says "waiting for server". Then, it times out and says FTP
error - unable to connect to server.

Now I have a few different websites on a few different hosting companies and
this problem is only occuring now when I deal with websites on a specific
company's server. The other ones work properly.

I contacted customer support for this hosting company and they checked it and
said they could log in via FTP OK. I told them I was using Dreamweaver and they
told me they were not sure why I could not connect to just their server.

I'm not sure either. I've tried many things and nothing worked. Can anyone
shed some light on this problem?

By the way, in case this helps.....I just upgraded to Norton 2006 Security
Package (anti-virus, spyware, etc...) on my PC and the problem started occuring
a few days after the installation.

Disable Norton and see if that helps. Enable passive FTP for the Remote
site's definition and see if that helps.

I've having the same problem, I use WS FTP to up and down load every thing
it's a pain.
