Dreamweaver FTP connecting to remote host...

I got a newer computer and intalled Dreamweaver. I installed my sites and
everything works except I can't seem to connect via FTP with any of my
remote servers.

When I test the site, it finds the remote servers just fine. But when I go
to connect, it hangs looking for the remote server (Waiting for server...)
until it times out and gives me this message: "Dreamweaver cannot determine
the remote server time. The Select Newer and Synchronize commands will not
be available." After I click OK, it still does not connect.

I can still connect fine with my old computer. Any ideas?

FTP problems are a bug with the latest version of DW MX 2004.
Be sure to check your firewall settings to make sure DWMX2004 has access
out.
Other than that you might need to use a 3rd party FTP program, which in any
case is much better than the feable FTP built into DW.

This is true about the FTP issue with DW2004 but this isn't the case here.
Search the MM Support articles. This happened to me long long ago and it
had something to do with permission issue I think. Whatever it was, it was
an easy fix.....

Right. I don't know why this worked, but I went into my "Edit Site" window,
selected "Remote Info" and selected both "Use Passive FTP" and "Use
Firewall." Hope this may help others with this weirdo Remote Server
issue....
