Default Dreamweaver error when connecting to MySql. - 11-03-2005 , 12:01 PM

Hi all of you!

When trying to set up a local testing server (WAMP - and everything goes
OK) i try setting up my site in Dreamweaver. The problem arises when I
try to connect to the database through the 'application' pannel -
databases and then give the connection parameters.

Now the error that i get from DW(and i think my WAMP is correctly
installed) is:

1. there is no testing server running on this machine or,
2. the testing server specified for this site does not map to the
http://localhost/_mmServerScripts/MMHTTPDB.php. Verify that the URL
Prefix maps to the root of the site.

I really have no clue what to do.

Thank you,
THE EVIL RABBIT.

ahh, uhmmm....

next time you encounter this problem, Dreamweaver doesn't like when the
testing server is there and there is no production server (on which you
upload) - i thought i will upload them via FTP and that's it so I didn't
set up the upload connection.

That was it.
