Default Dreamweaver CS4: Site/FTP view - 03-25-2009 , 04:30 PM

Hi there!

In Dreamweaver MX, on the right side of the *ftp browser* there were shown
a) the files in the defined site folder and
b) a folder called "desktop" so that you could also transfer any other file
from your hard disk to your site.

In Dreamweaver CS4, this second folder is missing. Does anyone know or have
any idea where this folder can or could be enabled?

TIA,
Lukas

It's no longer shown for each individual site. It's at the very top of your
site list and shown only there.

Thanks for your reply!
But I can't find this thing. I made a screenshot [1] of what I'm seeing in
the File Browser. Could you please mark where I should look or press the
button?

And -- it would be great to find out how to transfer files from e.g. my
desktop to my remote site with the file browser without having to copy it to
my site folder...

TIA again,
Lukas

You cannot do that while inside DW, although you can certainly do it in
Explorer (I'm not sure about Finder).

You would look for the locations you are seeking with the File panel
MINIMIZED, and with the Local view selected, at the TOP of the site list.
