dreamweaver CS3 and photoshop

Hello. Last year I was given CS3 through my web designer (onto my MACBOOK). I
recently got an IMAC and need to copy everything from my MACBOOK to my IMAC.
Everyone at apple tells me just to use the migration tool. But many friends
tell me that Abobe software won't transfer without the original softare disk
being reinstalled. Anyone have any solutions??? What about Carbon Copy
Cloner? Anyone ever used this?
