Here is what the Macromedia folks posted after I reported the bug a few weeks
ago:

We have posted a fix for this. Please refer to this tech note for
instructions:

224MB RAM?

From the website -

a.. 800 MHz Intel Pentium III processor (or equivalent) and later
b.. Windows 2000, Windows XP
c.. 256 MB RAM (1 GB recommended to run more than one Studio 8 product
simultaneously)
d.. 1024 x 768, 16-bit display (32-bit recommended)
e.. 650 MB available disk space

The system does have 256MB RAM. The reason it says 224MB is because it is a
shared memory system and thus 32MB of RAM is being allocated to the video
display adapter. You'll see this in lower-end laptops that use on-board display
adapters.

So, it doesn't have 256MB RAM then....

Shared memory doesn't function as system memory.
