:confused; This is very annoying - especially since the built in help contradicts what I can do with the program. I am developing a remote (on a LAN) ASP.net website. Dreamweaver apparently requires a dataset before it will properly render ASP controls. To create a dataset, I first need to create a database connections. The only 2 options that I get when I click on the "+" button in the Database tab of the application window are "OLE DB Connection" and "SQL Server Connection" - I need to connect trhough ODBC. Parts of the user manual say this can be done with a "custom connection" and gives instructions to do this. The topic "Creating a DSN-less connection" in the help fro examle is just what I need - but the instructions say : "Click the Plus (+) button on the panel and select Custom Connection String from the pop-up menu. The Custom Connection String dialog box appears." Unforutanly there is NO "Custom Connection String" in the menu - it only has the options for OLE and SQl Server. |
