- Does DW support SSH, SFTP, SCP, etc.?

DW uses FTP to upload/replace files directly on the server.

I've been asked if it supports other protocols (for lack of proper
terminology) like SSH, or SFTP, or SCP, etc.

(whatever those things are)

Does it? Because they're recommending I install something else to access the
server via those routes (apparently FTP isn't safe enough) and I'd rather
not use a 3rd party program solely to upload files.
