Default displaying differently - 11-25-2004 , 03:53 PM

Hello,
I've been noticing latley how different my site looks on other peoples
computers, specifically laptops. The images seem to be drastically more
compressed and gradient color changes are blocky. I'm wondering if this is a
common problem and how to solve it? If it makes a difference, I am using
imageready to create images.

thanks

Compressed? Perhaps their screen resolution aren't allowing wider
browser viewports.
Gradient colors get "blocky" when the monitor either isn't good enough
to show more than "thousands" of colors, or if the user hasn't
understood how to change the settings. But many cheaper RTF (flat)
screens are also very poor in the way that they're increasing the
contrast a lot.

The good thing is that these people are commonly used to it, and won't
see the difference since everything they're viewing looks equally bad.
