Default Display Settings - 07-08-2004 , 01:47 PM

I view my page at 1024x768 pixels and then when i changed my display size to
800x600 pixels my frames were all pushed together. I have my frames set at no
resize, I was wondering if there was a way for the page to automatically adjust
or where to change the display settings at. Thanks

"Noresize" has nothing to do with your problem. By default, anyone
viewing your frameset can grab a frame border and move it. "Noresize"
prevents this.

It sounds like the browser is shrinking all of your frames in a smaller
window size. To guard against this, you have to pick a frame or frames
to absorb changes in the window size. This will allow the other frames
to keep their designated size.

Without seeing your frameset I can't say which frame or frames to be the
one(s) to absorb window size changes.

In DW this is called a "relative" frame. Selects the frame you want to
make relative and use the pop-up menu on the properties inspector to
change it from what it says now (probably "pixels") to change it to
"Relative." If the number in the dimension field to this menu's left is
anything other than 1 change it to 1.
