Disable external images from loading?

In some ways, I like the new feature in Dreamweaver which displays
external images, rather than showing a grey box.

But, is there anyway to disable it? I have a slow connection, and
everytime I open a page I have to wait for them all to load before I
can do anything, which is very annoying.
