Default Design view doesn't show content - 06-29-2004 , 07:17 AM

Hi

I am experiencing problems with the design view. It only shows the
background and the table but it doesn't show what is in the table.

And I want to make area maps with a picture within the website.

Can someone help me?

Greetz Dragon

P.s. and it does this only with this specific website otherones just work
fine.

What happens if you change the src for one of your images from:

src="../images/nav_bg.gif

to

src="images/nav_bg.gif

Interesting. What's supposed to be in that beige colored table, some
tex? Are you saying not only do you not see any images but you see no
text either?

I noticed you are using the dreaded 'Layout Mode'. Quite frankly I'm not
surprised practically anything could happen if you continue to use this
method.

I have no experince of 'Layout Mode' so I dont really have any other
ideas. Maybe someone whos studies it, just for the fun, can come up with
a solution to your problem.

Normally i don't use the layout mode but I have picture on the site that
when you got over it you have several links that point to information about
the place lower on the page and I have some that work, these work
Paramaribo, Galibi and Nickerie and the rest they do nothing. Maybe you can
help me with that.

Greetz

Do you see those yellow </DIV> markers? That's Dreamweaver's way of
telling you that your source code is not well formed. In this case it
probably means you have the two closing </DIV> tags and no corresponding
opening <DIV> tags. Fix that and things may start working.

I think James is almost ceratinly correct. I just re-checked your
previous page. The code is literally littered with yellow highlighted
tags, which means something very bad is wrong with the way the page has
been written.

If you can sort that out I think you will be in business again.
