Default Design View - 11-23-2004 , 10:30 AM

:confused;
Apologies for a complete newbie question.
I have created a new CSS style sheet.
The code is shown, but the design view is greyed out - as are all icons in the
menu toolbars i.e layout etc..at the top of the page and properties at the
foot of the page.
I have only just installed Dreamweaver, so I have probably done something
completely wrong.

What should I have done ?

You can't open a .css file in design view. It's not an html page, so you
don't have all of the controls available that you would for a regular page.
You can only edit it in code view, or by going to text>CSS Styles>Manage
Styles

So, what you want to do is to create a new HTML page, and then attach
the style sheet to the HTML page. Use the Attach button in the CSS Style
Panel.

Randy
