Design notes problem

I am having some problems with creating Design Notes in a couple of my
sites. Dreamweaver has created a _notes folder, and I have the option to
Maintain Design Notes turned on. But when I right click on a file and select
"Design Notes" or go to the file menu and select "Design Notes", absolutely
nothing happens. No error message, no dialog box, nothing.

What's confusing is that in other sites that I've created, the Design Notes
work just fine. Exactly the way they are supposed to. Has anyone else had
this problem? Any suggestions?

I am working with Dreamweaver MX 2004.

I am experiencing the same problem. It only just arose upon my upgrading to
DW8. I find that, if a file has a Design Note (such is the case for some of my
files previously created in DW7), then the Design Notes box opens fine. But if
I am trying to create a new note through File-Design Notes or by right clicking
or any other usual method... nada... as you say Marge, no error message, no
dialog box, nothing.
I sent a bug report to Macromedia a minute ago but maybe this is not a DW8 bug?
Anyone know?

I'm having this problem as well... nothing that I can find to cure it. It also seems to be a DW8 issue only. I have upgraded to latest patch -- repaired install.. and nothing.
