Default Deleting unused images - 11-01-2004 , 10:34 AM

I am looking for any suggestions from anybody on a way I can remove unused
images from my web page folders.
I am currently working in Dream weaver MX.

I would be most obliged if anyone can help.

As I am tearing my hair out, trying to remove each one and finding out it was
the wrong image I have deleted.

Thanks in anticipation

If you use the synchronise feature for your site then you can set the option
to delete files no longer on the local machine. This can be used to remove
ones not needed anymore on the server.

Thanks for that Paul,

Your suggestion was much appreciated , although I should have said the extra
images which have been created are on my Local View.

Any suggestions on how to remove these images which are not linked from here.

Thanks

Do a site-wide check for broken links. (It's somewhere in the "Site"
menu.) When it's done you'll see a box pop up with a list of any broken
links you may have. At the upper right of this box is a menu. Change
this to "Orphan files." You will see a list of all of the files that no
page in your site uses. However, delete these files with care. Files
that are linked to from within scripts will be listed as orphans, even
if your site really does need them. Evaluate each orphan carefully
before deleting.
