delete background

how do you delete a background in dreamweaver? I have a psd file with blend modes and filters. I want to delete the background.

Sounds like bambam wants to export the PSD image with a transparent
background to be used in Dreamweaver ...maybe?

If this image is too complex and has texture and effects, it may not export
well as a GIF from Photoshop and only the GIF will produce reliable,
cross-browser transparancy on the web.

So a search in the PS help files about GIF transparancy so that you can
export your image with a transparent background.
