Default preferences

Is there a way to ensure all new page files, save as default to html rather
than htm
I believe there is a file to edit some where

If you edit the MMDocumentTypes file which can be found under
/configuration/DocumentTypes/ directory
The third line should be edited to
<documenttype id="HTML" internaltype="HTML"
winfileextension="html,htm,shtml,shtm,stm,lasso,xh tml"
macfileextension="html,htm,shtml,shtm,lasso,xhtml" file="Default.html"
you will notice the winfileextension has html first
