*anything* is a security risk when the person using it doesn't know about the risks, no? |

It's a MySQL database and a bunch of PHP files. Download the core version. Upload it to your server and run the install. Customize it with the design/code you create yourself. |

I've been very pleased with it so far. Takes some getting used to, as they all do. |

Can anyone tell me what the purpose is of using Dreamweaver to build a database driven website if using a CMS is so much easier? I mean, if a CMS is the way to go, what's the purpose of owning Dreamweaver? |

I think the popular free ones are a security risk if the person who installs it knows nothing about the risks. |

CMS is good for small websites, but it also opens your website to security hacks. Since the cms applications are closely followed, their vulnerabilities are easily exploited unless you keep upgrading to regular patches and upgrades. |

I took another look, and its not the same thing I looked at before, that needed Ruby on Rails...I dont know what I was looking at before, I thought I got there from a link in here but can't find it. Expression Engine does look very good, and I intend to have a good play with it. |
