Database question

Hi All,

I have a site defined in DW8 and have no problem to connect to my remote
server. However, I can't view my database on my machine. No doubt that I'm
using the right username, MySQL server and password, it all works great through
phpMyadmin.
The error message:
"Access denied. The file may not exist, or there could be a permission
problem".
I made a few calls to my hosting service, but they can't find the problem.
Any ideas?

o.k, things are working better now, but I still can't view the database
(located on a remote srever) on my machine.
Now I get this message:
"your php server doesn't have the MySQL module loaded or you can't use the
mysql_(P)connect functions".
I read that it might got something to do with php.ini file - if anyone knows
where can I find this file or suggest any other solution that will be of a
great help.
