Default Cut / Delete leaving a href's behind - 11-15-2005 , 03:07 AM

In the DW8 GUI if you cut or delete text that has a hyperlink, the text goes
but the hyperlink is left in the source.

Is there a preference to control this or is it a defect?

Yes, right I noticed this too, I think it worked wrong in older
versions, If you want to delete the whole html element select it in the
status bar.

Select the text. Click on the <a> tag on the TagSelector (at the bottom of
the document window). Press the delete key, or right click and select
remove tag.

Thanks Murray - this is ok but the behaviour has changed since MX2004 - I
think it's more intuitive to take eveything out when you deleted a sentence.

I don't. You have selected text from Design view. It's intuitive that
deleting it would delete the text only not the underlying HTML. But that's
my opinion....

My opinion, too... in many cases, you still need the underlying html and
are only replacing content.
