cursor problems editing in code view

This problem has been posted a few times in the past by others with no response
- I'm hoping someone out there can help this time.

Since installing my new Dreamweaver MX2004 on my G5, when I try to edit in
code view, the cursor is shows up a few characters before or after where I am
actually typing, making it impossible to select or edit text. I can't figure
out what is happening - it didn't happen in the same version on my computer at
work.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated!
