Default CSS - Styles add themselves to the page rather thanexternal fle - 10-01-2006 , 09:50 AM

Hey,
I'm having a problem with a site at the moment, I've added a link to an
external CSS file however whenever I add a style, it updates the style take in
the HTML file rather than the external CSS file. I've used externall CSS
before without this prolem, I wondered if maybe theres a setting that needs
altering to correct this or something?

Thanks for your time,
Scott.

It sounds like you're setting your styles with the property inspector
rather than the CSS panel.

Hey,
yes I am but on other projects it has then directly edited the styles in the external CSS, but here it just adds it to the page. :confused;

You can apply existing styles from the external stylesheet from the
property inspector but any new ones you create using the property
inspector will be written to the page and not the external CSS file.

Personally I'd use the tag selector to select the tag to be styles and
then select the style to be applied from the tag selectors context menu
rather than just use the property inspector.
