CSS Rollover

Hi,

How can I make a rollover td.

goal: I have a category list of 20 items on the left side with background
color grey. When someone moves the mouse over each little rectangle (td) I
would like the bacground to change to green. I would like to set this up using
css.

Please include all steps for me as I am unfamiliar with it from setting up the
initial color to the rollover.
