Anyway around this... to have the layers "centered" but yet in certain position so the navbar will work correctly. |

I was so excited when I found out that my slow rendering/downloading time on my page was due to the Dreamweaver/Fireworks "factory installed" popup menus (which do work the way they are meant to work in my opinion...just intense on the code). Thanks to the Project VII PopUp Menu tutorial. Download has decreased 75%! But I ran into a little problem with my content and navbar on the pages. My website (over 100 pages) has a navigation bar (this is a fireworks popupmenu html file... now project vii pop up menu style) as a PHP include inserted into each html document. Each document or webpage also has a HTML centered table for content purposes. I designed the site in a way so that it can be viewed 800X600 or 1024X768. When viewed on 800X600 fits perfect... when viewed on 1024X768.... the background fills in the space inbetween the sides. So the browser is expanding not the actual webpage... so it is nice and center (same size) but now with background colored margins running down each side. So when I switched over to layers instead of my navigation bar table I realized that all the layers are fixed on their position. I decreased to 800 X 600 and the new navigation bar is still in same position as when designed in 1024X768 and now I have a horizontal scrollbar. i know this must be a confusing email... but I thought I would try anyway. Anyway around this... to have the layers "centered" but yet in certain position so the navbar will work correctly. thanks to all |
