Default CSS and Frames... incompatible? - 08-01-2003 , 12:14 PM

I'm new to both this newsgroup and site design. Here's my problem: I
have a site with 2 frames: a LeftNavFrame and a MainTextFrame. Links
in the LeftNavFrame affect what appears in MainTextFrame. This all
works just dandy until I apply a CSS to alter the appearance of the
links in the LeftNavFrame. Is this a basic conflict in DW4? I've
tried embedded CSSs as well as external CSSs. They'll still execute
the link but they will not appear the way they are supposed to
according to the CSS. Thanks in advance for your help.

CSS and frames are not incompatible. Common sense and frames ARE
incompatible. Your first task is to get rid of the frames.
Professional designers do not use frames. They are more trouble than
they're worth.
