Default CSS fix for IE 6.0 - 03-30-2009 , 10:09 AM

Hello,
I need a fix for positioning the layers for IE 6.0.
The site renders beautifully in FF, Safari, IE 7.0, etc. but it's a mess in IE.

Here's the link:

Any ideas where's the problem?

Thank you.

Roby

Just so you'll know, there are no layers on that page.

Try changing this -

</head>

to this -

<!--[if lte IE 6]>
<style>
#content { width:715px; }
</style>
<![endif]-->
</head>

and see if that helps.

Great, thank you Murray.
When you placed a layer it uses the div tag, so I just thought... you know.

To be a 'layer' it has to be absolutely positioned. Now, I feel so
dirty.... 8)

Oh Gosh! I wish I haven't read your post!
Hehehe!

What about this fix that I've just found?
display:inline;

(is it just me or sounds dirty too?)

Could also work, depending on what the real cause for the drop is.
