Hi Assuming I read it correctly is the differential between Uk and US prices closing? It appears the upgrade from CS3 web premium is going to cost me £455 as compared to £325 in the US Excluding tax. As I remember the differential was much more for CS3? Next question is is it worth upgrading, be interesting to see what the overhead is on system resources on the release version. On dualcore 3ghz and 4gb ram cs3 is still not fast but but it is easily acceptable. Decisions Decisions........ Cheers Ian |

Ian Edwards wrote: Next question is is it worth upgrading, It's a decision only you can make. I find the improvements in Dreamweaver CS4 very worthwhile. The ability to edit style sheets in vertical split view, while keeping the main page visible (and updatable by pressing F5 each time you make a change) is brilliant. So, too, is the ability to inspect dynamic features, such as flyout menus, in Live view. I haven't done any extensive testing on other CS4 programs, but the demonstrations that I have seen of Flash are stunning. Fireworks enthusiasts are also reported to be very pleased with the changes in CS4. According to the Adobe website, trial versions will be available in November. Given them a whirl, and make up your own mind. -- David Powers, Adobe Community Expert Author, "The Essential Guide to Dreamweaver CS3" (friends of ED) Author, "PHP Solutions" (friends of ED) http://foundationphp.com/ |

Ian Edwards wrote: next question is when will your book be available? D-day is 1 December. http://foundationphp.com/dwcs4/ Any chance of an upgrade price;-) I wish I could oblige. For some unexplained reason, Amazon.co.uk offers only a measly 5% discount. Computer Manuals is a bit better with 20% off. In the States, where books are a lot cheaper anyway, there's usually a 34% discount (although it's not yet listed by Amazon.com). -- David Powers, Adobe Community Expert Author, "The Essential Guide to Dreamweaver CS3" (friends of ED) Author, "PHP Solutions" (friends of ED) http://foundationphp.com/ |

I live in a fantasy world, but at my age it's allowed. I used to lust after an actress called Felicity Kendal which will mean nothing to those in the US but gives an indication of my age |
