Default CS3 Web Premium using ghost - 08-02-2007 , 07:11 AM

Ok just a breif history of problem,

I work within a school and have just purchased a site licence for Adobe CS3
Web Premium.
obviously I want to install the product on all the PC here in the school.

Usually I do this by using Ghost (Symantec) creating a master PC install
pulling an image of it and then push the image to all the PC's within the
School.

Now to the problem, when I install CS3 and activate etc everything is fine and
dandy, when I push the image out to all the PC's I receive a request to re
activate.

is there a way around this?

Good question. I'm sure Adobe must have a solution for you - but I'm not
sure anyone here does. Have you tried contacting Adobe directly?

I am sure this might sound elementary, but did you use Ghostwalker or another
method to remove the SIDs. I know from past experiences when we used to image
XP machines, we needed to run Sysprep and Ghostwalker and remove the SSIDs
otherwise we would run into installation/activation problems with other apps.

Just a thought.

Here's the story.

You cannot GHOST a DW app that has already been activated, since the
activation is machine specific. Buy, you can install the app on a machine,
GHOST the drive (before the app is activated), and then broadcast the image.
But each workstation owner would have to perform their own activation.

Does that help at all?
