Default CS3 trial problem - 01-02-2008 , 04:21 PM

I've downloaded the trial version of Dreamweaver CS3 for Windows three times
now and when I click to execute it on my desktop it shows a 'file transfer'
process and then....nothing. No application - trial or otherwise - can be
found anywhere on my PC. It's about 235mbs sor there's something there....It
doesn't appear in the programme files and when I look in the extracted folder
there's no application of any kind. This has to be a mistake, right? I'm using
Windows XP.

Where are you downloading it from? How much freespace do you have on your
drive?

I just went to download it and the filesize should be 285.43Mb for the
English PC version.

For your information it takes forever to install, you will have to wait
ages once it gets going.

What spec is your PC?

The filesize is correct. I'm running a Sony Vaio - about 18 months old. It
should have no problem with the application. The folder - Adobe CS3 - is
extracted on my desktop.

It contains the following

1) a 'Payloads' Folder

2) a 'resources' folder

3) a 'redist' folder

4) various other items including a 'setup' icon.

When I click the setup icon it displays a window showing a file copying
process and the message 'Adobe setup'. This finishes, the window closes and
then - nothing.

Windows explorer is subsequently unable to find any trace of the trial
application on my PC. It is not in the programs folder and it doesn't appear
anywhere else.

Very strange indeed, I would contact Adobe (this is a user to user
forum) and see if they can help you.
