Default Creating a page in Japanese - 07-01-2005 , 03:51 PM

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to creat a page in Japanese with Dreamweaver(4) but I haven't found
a way yet. My mac is bulingual, I can read and wright in Japanese with the
browser. I can also type in Japanse with photoshop and word processing
applications. However, when I type something in Japanese with Dreamweaver, the
caractors cannot be shown properly on the browser. I don't think it's the
browser setting because once I save the dreamweaver page and re-open, the
charactors are not saved properly, it all becomes weird symbols(plus I can read
all the Japanese sites correctly).

I set the font in Dreamweaver in Japanse including default encoding under
preference. Are there anyway to make it work or simply I need a all Japanese
Mac to make Japanese pages???

Thank you very much for your help!

You won't, not with Dreamweaver 4. Dreamweaver MX 2004 was the first
version of Dreamweaver with the capability to support multibyte
character sets like Japanese on a non-Japanese system.
