Thanks for responding. The code reflects what's happening in design view. That is, if I highlight a word that I wish to link to an anchor, depress the Shift key, left click on the mouse, and then move the mouse, the highlighted area expands in design view and expands, as well, in the code view. |

What is supposed to happen, instead, is that a line should be drawn whose tip is controlled by the mouse, and which I can then connect up to an anchor. At that point, the code view will show the <a href="#anchor">Link</a>. This is what happens when I, instead, left click on the "Drag to file to make a link" icon in the Properties panel. But the alternative method with the Shift key seems not to work. |
