DW is not a graphics processing application. That would need to be done in
Fireworks or Photoshop (or any other such application). Whatever you create
with these applications can then be put on an HTML page using Dreamweaver.
And yes, you'd need to optimize your images before placing them on pages for
the web. That, too, would be done in your graphics application.
