CRASHES 10 TIMES A DAY

I don;t get it but dreamweaver crashes every time I click on the "Create New
CSS Style" icon. this happens atleast 10 times a day. What's happening here. It
just crashes. I am running windows XP with 2 gigs of ram and is the web master
for a large company. This is frustrating

Often problems like this are caused by a bad DW extension. Try disabling
all of your extensions and see if the problems goes away. If so, then
turn on one extension at a time and click the CSS button. When DW
crashes, you have found the culprit--the extension you just enabled.

This is less drastic than a reinstall. If you do need to reinstall, make
sure to export all of your site data first so that you can import it
after the reinstallation.

I am using version 8.02, and the darn thing crashes everytime I click on the
Create new CSS icon or dublicate style. It's &^%^%^ annoying and time
consuming, I absolutely HATE this (*^&^ crap, I can't impress upon you how much
this destroys this organization when a program crashes 10 (*^* times aday. It
just shuts down, some times I get this XML message I have been trying to see if
I get it but lately it just crashes. I would appreciate any help, you guys hava
a monopoly so there is no where else to go.

all the extensions are turned off but the (*^(*^ program crashes, there is no end to this madness??
How do you export site data?

Exception thrown in native function

You can try this simple fix -

Quit DW.

Find this folder -

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver
8\Configuration\WinFileCache-*.dat
(these folders are normally hidden - you may have to use Explorer > Tools >
Folder Options to unhide them)

and delete it.

Restart DW. Works better?

Crashes less frequntly but it still does, the issue here is the CSS, everytime I duplicate, create or do something in the CSS panel, it crashes.

Is that it, no more help?? This program crashes very frequently and holding a
monopoly just shows that the people who produce this program really has no
clue. I am the only person who hates adobe programs I know but our star program
Dreamweaver has now join the ranks of slow bloated programs like Photoshop,
Illustrator and Indesign. WHat am going to do? switch to golive? another adobe
program. It's frustrating people get a grip, those of us who buy can;t be
ignored all the time.

In here you can. This is a user-to-user forum...Adobe staff don't pay much
attention to it.

If your app is crashing 10 times a day, it may be a system/RAM issue and not
necessarily DW.
