crash with library items

My copy of DWMX 6.1
Crashes when I update a library item and then try to save it.
instead of asking whether I want to update all files containing this library
item it just sits there for around five minutes contemplating something and
then eventually pops back in to life saying that the library item has been
modified outside of dreamweaver and do I want to update it.
if i hit yes or no it just takes me back to the library item.

If I then try updating the site by right clicking on the library item and
asking it to update files containing that library item it just crashes and
hangs there.

Anyone any ideas?

Dion:

I am guessing that your site cache has been corrupted. Try rebuilding it
with SITE | Recreate Site Cache....
