copying & pasting from another application

When I was using Dreamweaver CS3, I had no problems copying and pasting content
from a word document, everything came over even the links... now every time I
copy and paste from Word to Dreamweaver CS4, I get an error message "error
occured while processing input" - why does this happen and how can I get all
the content to copy over properly including links? This also happens when I
copy and paste from an email note and it didn't with CS3.

Also, I find it more diffucult to put in background images into table cells,
center text.. etc.. I do not like the new methods of formatting documents.. CS3
was much better. I have been using Dreamweaver since the beginning, over 10
years ago and this is the worst upgrade ever.

What version of Office are you talking about? I've heard some issues with
Office 2008 and Dreamweaver, but nothing that would cause a crash.

Also the background images have me confused. I didn't think that changed from
CS3? Are you talking about the CSS formatting style here?

I have Office 2002.. I never had this issue when I used CS3 of Dreamweaver.
This just doesn't happen with word, even when I copy and paste from an email
into CS4, I get the same error message (it doesn't crash). It just says 'error
occured while processing input'. I click on ok and the text comes in but none
of the formatting (links etc). This is rather annoying. I'd go back to cs3 if
cs4 hadn't cost so much.

When I used to add a background image in cs3, in the properties window there
is a place to add background image in a table.. this feature is not present in
the properties window of cs4.

Another issue is something simple like centering text.. now I have to create
css to even center text!
