controlling flash? help!

on designing a layered page - i have 6 swf's layered on top of each other -
which open when the relevant link is clicked. I have all my 'show/hide' set
correctly. Problem is, only the first swf will play, the others all come up
once the animation is complete (ie at the end of the swf)

I've tried to set each links behaviour to control it's related swf, but when I
go back and look in the behaviours they have all defaulted to the first one!

Am I asking too much of Dreamweaver? Or is there something simple I am
missing? Anyone got any ideas?
